25-year-old Timo Stodder ended his first appearance in Leipzig with a very convincing tournament victory, winning the high-class final against Constantin Schmitz (Frankfurter TC Palmengarten) 6-2, 6-4 Timo Stodder after 90 minutes.
“That was a very important victory for me in a really great tournament ”
17-year-old Laura Isabel Putz fell behind 1-4 in the final against the strong Croatian world-ranked player Adriana Rajkovic (TC Ismaning), but gradually got the game under control. She won the first set 6-4 after 45 minutes and the second 6-1 after another half hour, and was very happy afterwards:
"I lost one match and won one in our first two encounters. That's why this victory means a lot to me, especially since Leipzig had a very strong lineup.
