a  unique masterpiece of craftsmanship

An extraordinary, highly acclaimed and unparalleled work of art.

This Glass Tennis Stadium, created by Walter Wiesmueller, is an emulated representation of a Champion Tennis Stadium with John McEnroe and Jimmy Connors at play. A stadium of this magnitude has never been sculpted until now.

The Stadium covers about 18 square feet from the actual tennis ball to the linemen, cameramen and men at play. You can also observe the umpire in his chair complete with his tiny glass microphone.

It is remarkable how the artists captured the moment between McEnroe and Connors locked in a dead even three-setter, 4-all in the third and the score at deuce.

The attention to detail in this piece of art is astounding, with it’s tiny bottles of champagne and glasses, the lighting of the courts, even the sponsor boards and spectators clapping their hands - just as in real life.

The glass stadium was the combined effort of the world’s most esteemed artists in the world of glass, Mr. Walter Wiesmüller and his crew. Mr. Wiesmüller’s experience spans more than two decades.

The time it took to create the stadium was eight months; these months were dedicated to the exact reproduction and likeness of all aspects of the Stadium, which hosted the Nuveen Champions Tennis Tournament.

The inventory of glass artifacts represents everything, and more, this event accomplished in Naples, Florida. Nuveen Investments and their sponsors should be extremely impressed that what they visualized was actually created for all to see by Walter Wiesmueller at the final gala held at the Registry and The Tiburón.

The tournament was in the news all week but the Glass Stadium was the talk of the town and the senior tour players that Saturday evening. The Stadium boasts: a glass court 28X36 in parameter; etched glass for court lines and the net made of glass; tennis players reproduced through photos are displayed; cameramen, ball boys, linesmen and scoreboard are also present.

There are four VIP boxes complete with flags, tables, chairs, visitors, champagne bottles, buckets and glasses. There are 665 glass reproductions of people throughout the stadium.

Enclosed please find several pictures for your review on this 1,280 single piece stadium. This piece has more value than just a display.
